The Love of God Is for Everyone, but God's Respect Is Earned
God’s love is infinite, unconditional, and available to everyone. It does not matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you’ve done—His love is freely given. Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." This means that before we even knew Him, He loved us enough to sacrifice for us.
But while God’s love is freely given, His respect—His honor and favor—is something we must pursue through obedience, faithfulness, and a life that reflects His holiness. Many people mistake God’s love as permission to live however they please, but scripture is clear: while God will always love us, His deep respect and favor are reserved for those who walk in His ways.
Love Is a Gift, But Respect Is a Response
Think of a parent-child relationship. A loving parent will always love their child, no matter what they do. But respect and trust are built through the child’s actions, character, and choices. God loves us the same way—His arms are always open, but He honors those who seek Him earnestly.
Psalm 25:14 says, "The Lord confides in those who fear Him; He makes His covenant known to them." God reveals His heart to those who revere Him, who live in obedience, and who seek His presence. His love reaches all, but His deeper relationship and favor come through surrender and faithfulness.
Earning God's Respect Through Obedience
John 14:15 reminds us, "If you love me, keep my commands." True love for God isn’t just about receiving His blessings—it’s about living a life that honors Him. We earn His respect by choosing righteousness over sin, faith over doubt, and obedience over self-will.
Noah found favor with God because he was righteous (Genesis 6:8-9). David, despite his failures, was called a man after God’s own heart because he pursued repentance and sought God above all else (Acts 13:22). These examples show us that God’s respect isn’t about perfection—it’s about a heart fully surrendered to Him.
A Call to Live Worthy of His Honor
God’s love welcomes us as we are, but His respect is cultivated through our choices. When we honor Him in our daily lives—through prayer, obedience, integrity, and love for others—we step into a deeper relationship with Him. James 4:8 encourages us, "Come near to God and He will come near to you."
At Holy Pink & Co., we strive to live in a way that honors God, not just receiving His love but walking in a way that earns His trust and favor. Our mission is to create products and services that reflect a life fully surrendered to Him. May we all seek to not only receive God’s love but also live in a way that earns His respect.
